About Latincouver
Latincouver is a vibrant non-profit organization that has been connecting over 100,000 Latin Americans with Latin enthusiasts in Western Canada. Through large-scale festivals, cultural programs, community partnerships, and artistic initiatives, Latincouver has become the central hub for Latin American culture in British Columbia.
We are seeking a motivated Grant Researcher & Admin Assistant Volunteer to support our fundraising and administrative operations. This role is ideal for individuals looking to gain hands-on experience in the nonprofit and arts/culture sector, while contributing to meaningful community impact.

Duties and Responsibilities
- Research government, foundation, corporate, and community grant opportunities aligned with Latincouver’s mission and programming.
- Identify upcoming deadlines, eligibility criteria, and application requirements.
- Update and maintain our funding opportunity database and tracking system.
- Prepare summaries of potential grants for review by the Fundraising & Grants Manager.
- Conduct background research on funding organizations to support proposal development.
- Assist with maintaining internal documents, filing systems, and shared drives.
- Support the preparation of grant attachments (e.g., program descriptions, budgets, reports).
- Manage a calendar of grant deadlines, reporting timelines,
and stewardship tasks.
- Organize digital records, correspondence, and project notes.
- Assist with general office and administrative tasks as needed.
Requirements and Skills
- Strong English communication, writing, and editing skills.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and work with sensitive information.
- Interest in nonprofit fundraising, research, arts, culture, or community development.
- Comfortable working independently and managing multiple tasks.
- Prior experience in grant writing, research, fundraising, or administration is an asset but not required.
