Position
Health & Safety Instructor - Working at Heights Trainer
Employment: Full-time/Part time
Location: Burlington and Hamilton, ON

Worksite Safety Compliance
Centre is looking for additional instructors to increase the delivery of our CPO-approved Working at Heights program.
These
Health & Safety Instructors will deliver training at either of our Burlington and Hamilton Training Centres and occasionally at other locations within the area. There may also be an prospect for this instructor to train in other subject areas in the future (confined space entry or mobile equipment use, for example). The position reports to the Manager, Instructor-Led Training and could be full-time or part-time status depending on the candidate's availability.
As a Health & Safety Instructor your key responsibilities are:
Delivering engaging and informative Working at Heights training to job seekers, the general public and recent and current members of the construction industry
Evaluating participants through practical skills and written evaluation Organizing, filing and submitting digital and hard copy participant records following training
Participating in team meetings and instructor development workshops The right candidate will have the following qualifications and experience: 3+ years experience delivering training (Working at Heights program preferred)
Background in construction management and/or other fall hazard-related industry Work experience or certification in occupational health & safety preferred
Forklift, mobile elevated work platforms and confined space entry and rescue considered an asset
Strong interest educating people on the importance and value of health & safety training Self-starter who is able to work independently, while also contributing to a team Strong presentation and adult-engagement skills
Valid Ontario Driver Licence - occasional travel by car for work
