Role Description Bayview Glen is seeking a dynamic and student-centered French and Spanish Teacher to join our Upper School faculty beginning in the 2026–2027 school year. This 80% FTE position includes four (4) Contemporary Language courses: (LWSCU, LWSBD, IDC4U/LWSDU, FSF3U), with the potential for additional teaching assignments through supply coverage, as needed. Reporting directly to the Head of the Upper School, the successful candidate will bring a passion for languages, culture, and student-centered learning, creating engaging classroom experiences that build confidence, curiosity, and intercultural understanding among students in Grades 9 to 12.

Qualifications An Undergraduate Degree in French, Spanish, Languages or a related teaching specialization, along with a Bachelor of Education Degree at the Intermediate/Senior level or equivalent
- A member, in good standing, with the Ontario College of Teachers
- Demonstrated ability to teach French and Spanish at the Intermediate/Senior level, supported by classroom, occasional or related teaching experience with students in Grades 9 to 12;
Experience teaching AP level French and Spanish would be considered an asset
- Strong understanding of second-language acquisition, differentiated instruction and assessment practices that support students across a range of proficiency levels in French and Spanish
- Strong organization and time management skills
- Excellent oral and written communication skills in French and Spanish, with the ability to adjust style to communicate effectively with students, parents, staff and other members of the school community;
Strong interpersonal skills with a warm, welcoming and engaging demeanor
- Willingness and enthusiasm towards participating in the co-curricular program and broader school community.
