Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Import/Export Coordinator to join our global supply chain team. In this role, you will coordinate the movement of goods across international borders, manage import and export documentation, and support efficient logistics operations.
This position requires frequent communication with overseas suppliers, manufacturers, and logistics partners. Skilled proficiency in Mandarin Chinese is strongly preferred, as the role involves regular coordination with Chinese suppliers and business partners.
Your expertise in international trade, customs procedures, freight coordination, and supply chain operations will help ensure timely deliveries, regulatory compliance, and smooth global operations.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate daily import and export activities, including customs documentation, shipping arrangements, and international trade compliance.
- Communicate with suppliers, manufacturers, and logistics partners in China and other international markets to manage shipment schedules and requirements.
- Support freight forwarding operations, including ocean freight, air freight, customs clearance, and delivery coordination.
- Collaborate with warehouse teams to ensure accurate receiving, inventory management, order fulfillment, and shipment preparation.
- Work with 3PL providers and transportation partners to monitor shipments, resolve logistics issues, and improve efficiency.
- Maintain accurate records for purchase orders, invoices, customs documents, shipping paperwork, and compliance requirements.
- Utilize ERP, WMS, TMS, and other supply chain systems to track inventory, shipments, and operational performance.
- Assist with supplier communication, sourcing activities,
and procurement coordination.
- Analyze logistics data and performance metrics to identify opportunities for process improvements.
Skills & Qualifications
- Experience in import/export operations, international trade, logistics, or supply chain coordination.
- Knowledge of customs documentation, freight forwarding, and international shipping procedures.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and accuracy.
- Experience working with ERP, WMS, TMS, or inventory management systems is preferred.
- Ability to coordinate with suppliers, freight carriers, and third-party logistics providers.
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
- Professional proficiency in English is required.
- Mandarin Chinese proficiency is strongly preferred due to frequent communication with Chinese suppliers and international partners.
- Experience working with Chinese manufacturers, Asian supply chains, or overseas sourcing is considered an asset.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience supporting China–Canada trade operations.
- Familiarity with ocean freight, container shipments, customs clearance, and international logistics.
- Experience in manufacturing, industrial products, consumer goods, or wholesale distribution.
- Knowledge of supplier management and international procurement processes.
Pay: $55,505.90-$85,611.75 per year
