About the Position The In-Suite Finisher is responsible for completing high-quality repairs, finishing work, and improvements within occupied residential suites. This role requires strong attention to detail, skilled workmanship, and professionalism while working in residents’ homes. The ideal candidate takes pride in their work and is committed to maintaining company standards while providing a positive resident experience.
Key Responsibilities Suite Finishing & Repairs Complete drywall repairs, patching, sanding, plastering, and touch-ups within occupied suites.
Paint walls, ceilings, trim, doors, and other surfaces to company standards while protecting residents’ furniture, flooring, and personal belongings.
Install and repair baseboards, trim, caulking, weatherstripping, and other finishing materials.
Perform minor carpentry repairs, including doors, cabinets, shelving, hardware, and fixtures.
Replace or repair flooring transitions and complete minor flooring-related repairs as required.
Install and repair blinds, countertops, cabinets, vanities, shelving, accessories, and miscellaneous suite fixtures.
Quality
Assurance Conduct detailed inspections of completed suites to ensure all work meets company quality standards.
Identify deficiencies requiring additional maintenance or contractor support.
Ensure all cosmetic finishes are completed to a professional standard.
Maintain consistent workmanship across all suites General Maintenance Support Assist maintenance staff with minor repairs as needed Complete work orders related to suite finishes Report building deficiencies or safety concerns promptly Assist with projects as needed Professionalism & Resident Interaction Maintain a professional, courteous, and respectful manner when interacting with residents and entering occupied suites.
Communicate clearly with residents regarding the work being completed and minimize disruption whenever possible.
Respect resident privacy, personal belongings, and the condition of occupied suites at all times.
Maintain a clean and organized work area and leave occupied suites in a clean condition upon completion of work.
Represent Medallion professionally at all times and promptly report any resident concerns or issues to the appropriate Property Manager or supervisor. Health & Safety Follow all health and safety policies, procedures and applicable legislation Use tools, equipment, and materials safely and responsibly Maintain a clean and organized work area Properly store paints, chemicals and maintenance supplies Wear required PPE Qualifications &
Skills High school diploma or equivalent Minimum 2 years of experience in residential finishing, painting, renovations or property maintenance.
Experience with drywall repair, painting, caulking, trim installation and basic carpentry Experience working in an apartment, condo, hospitality, or residential environments is considered an asset Valid driver’s license for travel between properties Excellent attention to detail Strong finishing and painting skills Knowledge of residential building materials and repair techniques * Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities
