Job Overview
We are seeking a strategic and detail-oriented International Trade Manager to lead our global trade operations and optimize cross-border supply chain activities. In this role, you will oversee international procurement, supplier relationships, logistics coordination, and trade compliance to ensure efficient and reliable global commerce.
As this position requires frequent communication with suppliers, manufacturers, and business partners in China and Asia, professional proficiency in Mandarin Chinese is strongly preferred. Candidates with experience working with Chinese suppliers, Asian supply chains, or international sourcing are highly valued.
Your expertise in procurement, logistics management, and global trade operations will help improve efficiency, reduce costs, and support the company's continued international growth.
Responsibilities
- Manage international purchasing, sourcing, and procurement activities to secure competitive pricing and reliable supplier partnerships.
- Develop and maintain relationships with overseas suppliers, manufacturers, and logistics partners.
- Coordinate international shipping, freight forwarding, customs documentation, and import/export compliance.
- Work closely with suppliers in China and Asia to manage product specifications, production schedules, and delivery requirements.
- Collaborate with third-party logistics providers (3PL) to optimize transportation routes and reduce supply chain costs.
- Monitor inventory levels, order fulfillment, warehouse operations, and supply chain performance.
- Analyze operational data and key performance indicators (KPIs) to identify process improvement opportunities.
- Maintain accurate records using ERP systems, warehouse management systems (WMS), and supply chain management platforms.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives related to procurement, logistics, and global trade processes.
Experience
- Proven experience in international trade, supply chain management, procurement, or global logistics.
- Experience managing overseas suppliers and international sourcing activities.
- Knowledge of import/export procedures, customs requirements, and international shipping processes.
- Familiarity with ERP systems, inventory management systems, and supply chain software.
- Robust analytical, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
- Experience working with Asian suppliers or international manufacturing partners is preferred.
- Professional proficiency in English is required.
- Mandarin Chinese proficiency is strongly preferred due to frequent communication with Chinese suppliers and business partners.
- Experience with China–North America trade operations is highly valued.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with China sourcing, supplier management, or international procurement.
- Knowledge of ocean freight, container shipping, customs clearance, and global logistics.
- Experience in manufacturing, industrial products, chemicals, building materials, or import/export industries.
Pay: $75,405.83-$133,601.86 per year
