Duties
- Provide comprehensive technical support to end-users for hardware, software, operating systems (Windows, macOS, Linux), and network issues
- Troubleshoot and resolve software problems related to Microsoft Office applications, operating systems, and specialized enterprise tools such as ServiceNow, Jira, BMC Remedy
- Manage computer networking components including LAN (Local Area Network), firewall configurations, VPN (Virtual Private Network) access, and wireless connectivity to ensure secure and reliable connections
- Assist with desktop support tasks such as installing, configuring, and maintaining computer hardware and peripherals
- Monitor and maintain network security protocols; configure firewalls and VPNs to protect organizational data
- Support IT service management processes by documenting incidents and requests using ServiceNow or BMC Remedy; prioritize tickets effectively
- Conduct regular system updates,
software troubleshooting, and hardware diagnostics to minimize downtime and improve performance
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on IT projects; utilize Jira for task tracking and project management
Experience
- Proven experience in IT support or help desk roles with a strong understanding of operating systems including Windows, macOS, and Linux environments
- Hands-on knowledge of computer networking concepts such as LAN setup, firewall management, VPN configuration, and troubleshooting network issues
- Familiarity with enterprise ticketing systems like ServiceNow or BMC Remedy for incident management
- Experience supporting desktop environments with expertise in hardware repair and software troubleshooting
- Strong communication skills to effectively assist users at all levels; ability to explain technical concepts clearly
- Knowledge of security best practices including firewall management and VPN setup to safeguard organizational data
- Ability to prioritize multiple tasks efficiently while maintaining a high level of customer service excellence
