Position Summary

We are seeking a motivated, skilled, and experienced Service & Maintenance Journeyman Electrician to join our growing team. In this role, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing electrical systems and equipment across a variety of industrial and commercial environments. The successful candidate will possess a strong technical background, advanced problem-solving abilities, and a commitment to delivering exceptional service and workmanship.

This position involves working with electrical distribution systems, control systems, motors, pumps, automation equipment, and other electrical infrastructure. You will support maintenance programs, system upgrades, renovation projects, and commercial construction projects while ensuring compliance with all safety standards and electrical codes.

Key Responsibilities

- Install electrical circuits, panels, conduit, protection devices, switches, and equipment in accordance with the Canadian Electrical Code (CEC).
- Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair control systems, motors, pumps, PLCs, automation systems, and other electrical equipment.
- Troubleshoot and repair automation lines and components.
- Install, repair, or replace electrical wiring, receptacles, switch boxes, conduits, feeders, and lighting systems.
- Perform preventative maintenance, inspection, and testing of electrical systems,



including power distribution equipment.
- Test electrical systems and equipment for continuity, current, voltage, resistance, and proper operation.
- Read and interpret schematics, blueprints, electrical drawings, and code specifications.
- Lay out circuits, set up breaker panels and distribution systems, and install electrical fixtures and equipment.
- Ensure all electrical work complies with applicable regulations, industry standards, and trade practices.
- Provide supervision, leadership, technical support, and training to apprentices.
- Communicate effectively with clients to understand project requirements and provide solutions.
- Deliver exceptional customer service and maintain a professional company image.
- Maintain accurate job documentation, reports, paperwork, and records.
- Participate actively in job-site safety programs and hazard assessments.
- Follow all company policies, procedures, safety standards, and PPE requirements.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and protected work environment.

Physical Requirements:

- Ability to lift and carry a minimum of 50 lbs. without assistance.
- Ability to work safely in industrial and commercial environments.
- Ability to maintain required PPE and safety standards at all times.

Qualifications & Certifications Required:

- Journeyman Electrical Trade Certification.
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Valid Driver's License with a clean driving abstract.
- Reliable vehicle.
- Own hand tools.
- Fall Protection Certification.
- Aerial Lift Certification.
- CSTS-09 Certification.
- Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English.
