What You'll Do

As a Jr. Safety Advisor, you'll support Advisors with multiple clients with documentation, inspections, investigations, training, reporting and more. You'll work independently, collaboratively, and always with integrity.

Key Responsibilities:

- Assist Advisors and other team members as needed
- Maintain, review, and develop OHS documentation (primarily using MS Word)
- Collaborate using tools like Safety and Computer Software, including shared document systems
- Use and update contractor platforms: ISNetworld, Avetta, ComplyWorks
- Track and document tasks by client in 15-minute intervals (time management is critical)
- Manage multiple client safety programs with clarity and detail
- Conduct worksite inspections, audits, toolbox talks, and hazard assessments
- Apply and interpret Alberta OHS and Industry legislation and COR/SECOR Audit/Certification Standards




- Prepare and deliver safety meetings and training sessions (office and field staff)
- Lead or support incident investigations and WCB claims
- Participate in internal/external COR audits; serve as primary audit contact as needed
- Develop into an independent Safety Advisor
- Collaborate and provide active engagement/feedback on company initiatives and training.

What We’re Looking For

Required Qualifications:

- NCSO, HSA or OHS diploma strongly preferred
- 3–5 yearsexperience in occupational health and safety roles
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word (above average) and solid Excel skills
- Exceptional attention to detail, time tracking, and multi-client management
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Experience managing or contributing to COR audits, investigations, and compliance tracking.
- Capable of completing tasks within assigned parameters and timeframe and providing accurate/timely updates to Advisors.
