Role Description The Junior Accountant will support daily accounting operations for Groupe Dura’s real estate projects and corporate entities. This full time, on-site role based in Vancouver, BC involves recording journal entries, assisting with accounts payable and accounts receivable, reconciling bank and general ledger accounts, and helping prepare financial reports and schedules. The role includes maintaining accurate documentation, supporting month-end and year-end closing activities, and assisting with expense tracking and budget monitoring.
The Junior
Accountant will collaborate with senior accounting staff, respond to internal inquiries, and help ensure compliance with company policies and relevant accounting standards.
Qualifications
Solid foundation in basic accounting principles, including journal entries, reconciliations, and general ledger maintenance.
Proficiency with accounting software and MS Excel (e.g., spreadsheets, formulas, basic data analysis).
Solid attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
Effective written and verbal communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
Diploma or bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (or equivalent combination of education and experience).
Ability to work on-site in Vancouver, BC, with a professional, ethical, and solutions-oriented mindset.
Previous internship or junior accounting experience in real estate or construction is an asset.
Interest in learning and developing within a growing real estate and investment organization.
