Junior Sous Chef / CHEF de Partie

VIOLETS Italian restaurant is looking for qualified sous chef.

We are looking for an energetic & willing to learn candidate.

Experience in fast passed environments, from scratch cooking, cook to order, preparing fresh ingredients, running a section, working neat and clean.

RESPONSIBILITIES

- Oversee and assist the Executive Chef and kitchen staff in all aspects of food production
- Evaluate food products to ensure consistent quality standards
- Run a section, write mis en plus sheets, compile ingredient orders list for your section
- Maintain high hygiene personal & kitchen hygiene standards
- Establish and maintain a regular maintenance schedule for all kitchen areas and equipment
- Provide training and professional development opportunities for all kitchen staff
- Provides guidance to junior kitchen staff members
- Oversees and organizes kitchen stock and ingredients
- Ensures a first-in,



first-out food rotation system and verifies all food products are properly dated and organized for quality assurance
- Keeps cooking stations stocked, especially before and during prime operation hours
- Supervises all food preparation and presentation to ensure quality and restaurant standards
- Coordinates with restaurant management team on supply ordering, budget, and kitchen efficiency and staffing

Qualifications and education requirements
- 3+ years' of culinary or kitchen experience in a fine-dining establishment
- Excellent interpersonal and verbal communication skills
- Highly organized with excellent attention to detail

Job Type: Full-time Salary: TBD based on skills and experience

Pay: $18.00-$22.00 per hour
