Full-time Equivalency (FTE) 0.7 FTE Salary $44,969 - $56,905 per annum based on 37.5 hours per work). This is a 9 month, 0.7 FTE term position at 26.25 hours per week so annual salary will be pro-rated to $23,609 - $29,875. Job Summary The Centre for Resilience and the Embedding of Stress (CRESt) at Dalhousie University is an interdisciplinary team of researchers who study the mechanisms through which stress becomes biologically embedded across the first two decades of life, and how this shapes long-term well-being. Reporting to the Principal Investigator, the Lab Coordinator will support all aspects of the CRESt’s research program.

Key Responsibilities Support recruitment of study participants through outreach. Schedule study sessions with participants and research staff.

Coordinate and oversee the day-to-day activities of research assistants. Onboard and train new research assistants, volunteers, and students.

Support the collection and organization of participant data, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality. Prepare and submit ethics applications and renewals (e.g.,



research ethics board submissions). Assist in refining study protocols.

Manage lab budgets together with the lab director, process purchases, and reconcile expenses.

Maintain lab equipment, supplies, and biological sample storage and tracking systems.

Create infographics summarizing research findings for academic and lay audiences. Coordinate communication between the lab and external collaborators, participants, and community partners. Note Due to operational requirements, the successful applicant is required to work in-person on campus.

Required Qualifications Undergraduate degree in Arts or Science with a major or minor in Psychology or other related area (or equivalent combination of training and experience).

Experience in a research environment focused on the effects of early life adversity in humans.

Previous supervisory experience.

Excellent communication (verbal and written) and interpersonal skills.

Excellent organizational and time management skills as well as judgment and discretion in handling confidential and/or sensitive information.

Proficient in computer applications, including Microsoft Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Excel.
