Dasro is looking for a Network Analyst for one of its clients in Regina, SK.
- Location: Regina, SK (Onsite)
- Employment Type: Contract
- Contract Duration: Initial term through March 31, 2027 (with possible extension up to a maximum of four additional one-year terms)
- Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.
- On-Call: Rotational, one-week intervals
- Travel: Required, including travel to support offices across Saskatchewan and occasional overnight stays
- Overtime: May be required
- Interview: In-person
- Driver's License: Valid Class 5 Saskatchewan driver's license or equivalent required
Our client is seeking a highly skilled Network Analyst to join its Enterprise Networks team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the operational administration, troubleshooting, implementation, maintenance, and ongoing enhancement of enterprise LAN/WAN network infrastructure.
The role combines day-to-day network administration with network design, architecture, planning, and implementation initiatives. The successful candidate will work closely with technical and business teams to ensure network infrastructure is secure, reliable, scalable, and aligned with current industry and security best practice
Key Responsibilities
- Administer, implement, troubleshoot, and document enterprise network infrastructure to ensure continuous and productive operation.
- Provide expert-level technical support, administration, and engineering for network devices and infrastructure.
- Monitor and optimize network performance and troubleshoot issues to maintain high availability and reliability.
- Design, plan, and implement network infrastructure solutions.
- Develop strategic plans for the evolution of network devices and infrastructure in alignment with current and future business requirements and industry standards.
- Configure, maintain, and upgrade network equipment in accordance with established protocols and security requirements.
- Maintain network integrity through effective change control and problem management processes.
- Manage network disaster recovery processes, including planning, implementation, maintenance, and testing.
- Support both corporate and operational/SCADA network environments.
- Collaborate with corporate and field employees to address technology concerns and escalate complex issues as required.
- Develop scalable and adaptable network solutions in collaboration with multidisciplinary teams.
- Participate in technology projects involving the deployment of network technologies.
- Maintain comprehensive technical documentation.
- Follow established Standard Operating Procedures and change management processes.
- Participate in team meetings and contribute technical expertise and recommendations.
- Stay current with networking technologies, certifications, security practices, and industry developments.
- Work collaboratively across diverse technical teams and contribute to departmental objectives.
Required Skills & Experience The successful candidate must have a minimum of five (5) years of recent, hands-on experience in network administration, network analysis, and network design/architecture.
- Strong candidates will demonstrate experience with: Spine-and-leaf data centre networks utilizing VXLAN with BGP EVPN.
- Routing protocols including BGP, EIGRP, and OSPF.
- Cisco networking equipment, including switches and routers.
- Cisco CLI environments including IOS, IOS-XE, and NX-OS.
- Fortinet networking equipment, including:
- Firewalls
- Switches
- Access points
- Fortinet security tools, including:
- FortiManager
- FortiAnalyzer
- FortiNAC
- Microsoft Azure networking, including:
- Virtual networks
- Virtual network peering
- Route tables
- Azure Front Door
- Web Application Firewall (WAF)
- Network Security Groups
- Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI).
- Load balancers and web application firewalls.
- Network security best practices.
- Enterprise-level networks and integration of on-premises and cloud environments.
- LTE and satellite communication technologies.
- ITIL frameworks and Change Management processes.
- SCADA network environments.
Qualifications & Other Requirements
- Minimum 5 years of recent practical network administration and design/architecture experience.
- Valid Class 5 Saskatchewan driver's license or equivalent.
- Ability to travel outside Regina, including occasional overnight travel.
- Ability to participate in a one-week rotational on-call schedule.
- Strong interpersonal, communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.
- Experience working within multidisciplinary technical/project teams.
- Experience working in North American environments is considered an asset.
- Experience with a provincial government, Crown corporation, Oil & Gas transmission company, or an equivalent environment is considered an asset.
