Position #: 9012431 Expected Start Date: September 07, 2026 Union: SUN Facility: Humboldt District Health Complex City/Town: Humboldt Department: In-Service Education Type: Part-time temporary Expected Up to Date: June 30, 2027 FTE: 0.5 Shift Information: Days, Evenings, Weekends Number of Hours per Rotation: 14 shifts of 8 hours per 6 weeks Relief: No Float: No Hours of Work: Field Hours Salary or Pay Band: Pay Band Nurse B $42.040 to $52.440 Travel Required: Yes : The Clinical Nurse Educator (CNE) is a clinical practitioner who integrates experience, skills and knowledge from nursing theory and principles of adult learning in the provision of direct patient care, clinical coordination, clinical problem solving education and research for a defined group of patients/clients/residents/families and/or programs. The incumbent will provide leadership that is visible, proactive, and promotes the delivery of patient/clients/residents care through the application of practice standards. In consultation with the Manager of Nursing, the individual is responsible for assessing learning needs of staff, planning, and implementing and evaluating designated educational activities/programs either unit-based and/or region wide.
The Clinical Nurse Educator will use a consultative approach and research findings to provide support to health-care professionals as appropriate. The CNE utilizes a systems approach, consistent collaboration with the interdisciplinary team, and demonstrates rapid decision making for efficient matching of demands,
needs and resources, and resolving clinical and professional issues.
