About the Role
My client operates a small, close‑knit, and very supportive branch inside YVR Airport , working in a highly specialized niche supporting airline and airport ground operations. This unionized position plays an important role in ensuring parts availability, customer support, and smooth day‑to‑day logistics.
Position Overview The Parts Counter Sales Representative supports the YVR operation by assisting customers at the counter, fulfilling orders, managing inventory, identifying parts, and performing warehouse logistics tasks. This role ensures accurate and timely parts processing across all communication channels. It requires strong attention to detail, comfort with physical warehouse work, and the ability to operate effectively in a structured, quick‑paced environment.
Schedule Options (One Position – CBA Defined)
The successful candidate will be assigned one of the following weekly schedules:
Shift 1
- Sunday: 14:00–23:30
- Monday: 12:30–23:30
- Tuesday: 12:30–23:30
- Wednesday: 11:00–21:30
- Thursday: Off
- Friday: Off
- Saturday: Off
Shift 2
- Sunday: Off
- Monday: Off
- Tuesday: Off
- Wednesday:
- Assist customers at the parts counter and through phone, email, and online channels.
- Pick, package, manifest, and dispense parts accurately and efficiently.
- Research and identify parts using manuals, equipment documentation, parts history, and digital tools.
- Process and put away incoming merchandise.
- Use the enterprise system for order processing, inventory management, and parts lookup.
- Perform typical warehousing and logistics functions as required.
- Support light purchasing and expending activities.
- Drive occasionally for customer or operational needs.
- Maintain a valid driver’s license and obtain/maintain airside driving privileges.
- Complete other customer‑supporting tasks as reasonably assigned.
Requirements
- Valid driver’s license.
- Ability to obtain and maintain airside driving clearance.
- Ability to perform physical warehouse tasks and handle parts safely.
- Strong customer service orientation.
- Ability to work the assigned shift consistently.
