The Role

This is a founding-level technical role for someone who wants to stay deep in the code while shaping the architecture of a fast-moving clinical platform. You'll work closely with the CEO and the existing engineering team, take ownership of hard technical problems, and set the standard for how the platform is built. This is an individual contributor role at its core, but it's suited to someone who naturally brings others along: someone engineers already turn to for direction, who enjoys raising the technical bar, and who could grow into a broader leadership seat as the company scales.

What You Will Do

Design and build core systems for a fast-growing clinical platform, staying hands-on with architecture and production code Make key technical decisions on distributed systems design,



scalability, and reliability across multiple product lines Build and improve AI-powered infrastructure, including LLM-driven features and retrieval-based systems Set technical standards and best practices that raise the bar for the engineering team Informally guide and mentor other engineers through code review, pairing, and technical direction, without owning formal people management

What You Bring

Deep hands-on experience building and scaling production software, ideally at an early-stage or high-growth company Strong backend engineering skills in languages such as TypeScript, Python, or Go Experience designing distributed, cloud-native systems on AWS or Azure Exposure to LLM-powered products, RAG, or agentic AI systems A track record of raising technical quality on a team, even without a formal management title
