Job Purpose The Project Coordinator will support the Project Manager in planning, coordination, and execution of all aspects of the project, ensuring it is completed on time, within scope, and within budget. The Coordinator will work closely with internal teams, contractors, and stakeholders to facilitate efficient project delivery and support the successful completion of an impactful development.
Major Responsibilities 1.
Project
Performance • Support all aspects of project performance, including cost management, schedule adherence, quality control, and safety compliance throughout the project lifecycle.
- Monitor and track project metrics to ensure the project progress and performance can be measured.
- Communication & Reporting
- Assist with project management communications and reports
- Collaborate with in-office and on-site project staff to ensure stakeholders are up-to-date.
- Coordination of Design & Constructability
- Help coordinate architectural and engineering drawings, ensuring alignment with project goals.
- Identify potential constructability issues and communicate potential solutions to the team.
- Communicate with Trade Contractors to get feedback on designs and potential design changes.
- Log, review and distribute shop drawings.
- Scope of Work Development & Trade Coordination
- Assist with development/refinement of trade contractor-specific scopes of work
- Ensure all project-specific requirements are clearly defined
- Point of contact for contractors, providing appropriate responses to questions in a timely manner.
- Engage with Trade Contractors ensure sufficient information to effectively respond to RFPs.

Meeting
Facilitation & Stakeholder Engagement
- Assist in the preparation and execution of impactful project meetings, • Ensure agendas are prepared and key discussions are documented effectively.
- Take an active role in meetings to ensure agenda and action items are addressed.
- Assist with the documentation of meetings by issuing detailed, action-oriented minutes.

Document
Control & Distribution
- Assist with the distribution and management of all project-related documents, including drawings, tender documents, bid evaluations, contracts, and communications
- Ensure timely document delivery to stakeholders such as owners, consultants, and trade contractors.
- Assist with setup and maintenance of the project data through the Project Management software.
- Assist with consultant and contractor training on the Project Management software.
- Track the status of shop drawings.
- Help to ensure consultant reviews and trade contractor responses are occurring in a timely manner.
- Estimating & Financial Support
- Provide support in estimating and cost tracking, working alongside the Project Manager.
- Work with team to ensure budgets are adhered to and financial constraints are met.
- Complete quantity take-offs as required to assist with estimating project costs as required.
- Assist with financial reporting and ensure resources are allocated appropriately.

Safety
Compliance & Adherence
- Ensure all project activities comply with safety regulations, maintaining a strong safety culture.
- Regularly review safety protocols and ensure that all team members are aware of their responsibilities, helping to mitigate risk on-site.
Skills and Knowledge
- Degree and/or diploma in Construction, Business, or a related field
- A minimum of 1 year of experience in high-rise construction.
- Proven expertise in people management, fostering strong teams and driving performance.
- Exceptional time management skills, able to prioritize and meet tight deadlines with ease.
- In-depth knowledge of high-rise project architectural and engineering drawings.
- Foresight to anticipate and resolve potential issues before they escalate.
- Knowledge of Tarion guidelines.
- Certified in Health and Safety protocols (WHMIS, Working at Heights, Basics to Supervision) • Proven ability to take responsibility, engage with stakeholders, and communicate effectively • Enthusiasm for challenging and recent initiatives.
- Advanced knowledge of various construction disciplines, safety regulations, scheduling, cost control, quality control, engineering drawings and other documents.
