Company Description Middle Ground Housing Company (“Middle Ground”) develops ground-oriented, Class ‘A’ purpose-built rental communities for the “missing middle” in the Greater Toronto Area (GTA). The company focuses on larger, more livable suites designed to be attainable for cost-burdened renter households.
By applying targeted site criteria, Middle Ground delivers well-designed units at more accessible rents, addressing segments of the rental market where demand growth has outpaced current supply. Role Description The Project Manager is a full-time, on-site role based in Etobicoke, ON, responsible for overseeing the planning, execution, and delivery of Middle Ground’s rental housing projects. This role manages project timelines, budgets, and scope, coordinates with architects, contractors, consultants, and municipal stakeholders, and ensures that all work complies with relevant codes, standards, and company objectives.
The Project
Manager tracks progress against milestones, identifies and mitigates risks, and resolves issues to keep projects on schedule and within budget. Day-to-day responsibilities include leading project meetings, preparing status reports, overseeing inspections and quality control, and ensuring materials, equipment,
and resources are expedited and available when needed.

Manager also contributes to process improvements, supports stakeholder communication, and promotes a safe, collaborative site environment aligned with Middle Ground’s commitment to livable, attainable communities.
Qualifications
- Candidates should possess strong project management skills, including experience in planning, scheduling, budgeting, and stakeholder coordination.
- Candidates should possess expediting and expeditor-related skills to manage material procurement, vendor coordination, and timely delivery of project resources.
- Candidates should possess inspection and quality assurance skills to verify that construction work meets design specifications, safety standards, and regulatory requirements.
- Candidates should possess logistics management skills to organize site operations, optimize workflows, and ensure efficient use of labor, equipment, and materials.
- Relevant experience in residential or multifamily construction, real estate development, or property management is beneficial.
- Post-secondary education in construction management, engineering, architecture, business, or a related field is preferred.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational abilities, with proficiency in project management software and standard office tools.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with diverse teams and external partners.
