Test run creation/assignment
Bug review, de-duplication, and triage — prevent randomization of engineering teams by identifying duplicates, requesting clarification, and ensuring bugs adhere to reporting standards
Test status reporting
Cross-functional interactions and feature bring-up with engineers
Software and hardware bug investigation and reporting
Bug fix verification
Targeted ad-hoc testing of undocumented areas
Review of bug reports from other team members
Identify test and process gaps and raise them to Quality leadership
Onboarding and mentoring more junior team members
Clear verbal and written communication, including team group posts to share test status and provide clarity on defect reports
