POSITION SUMMARY
Working under the general supervision of the QA/QC Manager and Project Manager (PM), the QA/QC Coordinator will work in conjunction with multiple departments to coordinate the activities required to meet the quality standards of Forbes Bros. Ltd.; ensuring products meet both external and internal requirements, including legal compliance and customer expectations.
CORE RESPONSIBILITIES
Field Safety Leadership & Compliance
Inspect production material as assigned for defects
Report on defects to the appropriate manager
Perform internal QA audits that are compliant with corporate policies, practices, and procedures
Training & Documentation Management
Assist with the maintenance of QA monitoring programs, including audits, controls, and other qualifiers
Support continuous improvement by integrating quality control tools (e.g., Lean, Six Sigma, etc.) into processes
Comply with Company QA programs for monitoring supplier quality, including audits, controls, and other qualifiers
Collaboration & Continuous Improvement
Promote and advocate quality achievement and performance improvement across the organization
Ensure ongoing compliance with local, national, and international standards and legislation
Create and maintain QA control documentation
ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS
Education & Experience
Post-Secondary diploma or degree in an appropriate field,
or 2 years relevant quality management or industry training
Skills & Abilities
Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, Outlook etc.)
Work safely and ability to recognize safety hazards and implement hierarchy of controls to eliminate hazards on site or in office
Strong listening, problem solving and time management skills with the ability to meet various deadlines
Strong verbal and written skills with the ability to communicate in a professional manner
Ability to work independently or within a team environment with minimal supervision
Able and willing to travel and work frequent overtime and weekend hours to accommodate project schedules and/or business needs
Physically fit and able to perform manual labour in varying weather conditions and environments, inclusive of heavy lifting
Additional Details
Have and maintain a valid driver's license and acceptable driver's abstract
Successfully complete pre-employment/pre-access drug and alcohol testing to obtain clearance for site access
Travel and work overtime as required
