Duties

- Conduct comprehensive assessments of patients’ physical, cognitive, and emotional needs to develop tailored occupational therapy plans
- Implement therapeutic interventions aimed at improving daily living skills, motor functions, and adaptive techniques
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including physicians, behaviour analyst, and social workers to coordinate patient care
- Manage caseloads efficiently by prioritizing patient needs and documenting progress regularly
- Educate patients and their families on therapeutic exercises, safety precautions, and adaptive strategies for ongoing support
- Maintain accurate medical records, treatment plans, and progress notes in compliance with healthcare regulations
- Participate in case management activities to ensure seamless continuity of care across different settings

Skills





- Demonstrated expertise in case management and coordinating care for diverse patient populations
- Experience working with pediatric patients and familiarity with pediatric developmental milestones an asset
- Excellent patient care skills with a compassionate approach to therapy delivery
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology relevant to occupational therapy practices
- Ability to adapt interventions for patients with complex needs
- Effective communication skills to collaborate with healthcare teams and educate patients effectively
