We are seeking a passionate and skilled Restoration Mason to join our dynamic team at Kierdorf Masonry & Concrete. Dedicated to revitalizing and preserving historic and damaged structures. As a Restoration Mason, you will play a vital role in restoring buildings to their former glory by applying expert masonry techniques, working with a variety of tools and materials, and interpreting blueprints and schematics.

Responsibilities

- Utilize hand tools, power tools, and heavy equipment to perform masonry work including bricklaying, stone setting, and concrete restoration.
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to accurately execute restoration plans.
- Prepare surfaces and materials for restoration work, including cleaning, caulking, and surface repairs.
- Operate heavy machinery safely to assist with demolition, excavation, or material transport as needed for restoration projects.
- Collaborate with project managers and team members to ensure work aligns with design specifications and safety standards.




- Apply restoration techniques to repair or replace damaged masonry elements while maintaining historical accuracy when applicable.
- Follow all safety protocols diligently to ensure a safe working environment during all phases of construction and restoration.

Skills

- Proficiency with hand tools such as chisels, trowels, hammers, and levels essential for precise masonry work.
- Experience in construction or masonry fields with a strong understanding of building materials and techniques.
- Knowledge of schematics, blueprints, and technical drawings necessary for accurate project execution.
- Ability to operate power tools safely and efficiently in various restoration tasks.
- Skilled in renovation processes including surface preparation, caulking, sealing, and surface finishing.
- Familiarity with heavy equipment operation relevant to construction sites supporting masonry activities.
- Robust understanding of restoration principles to preserve architectural integrity while repairing structures effectively.
