We are seeking an experienced Senior Systems Testing / QA Specialist to support enterprise-level application testing initiatives for the Ministry of Public and Business Service Delivery and Procurement . This role is ideal for a seasoned QA qualified with 8+ years of software testing experience , expertise in functional, integration, regression, system, UAT, and automation testing , and experience working with enterprise COTS applications.

The successful candidate will participate in the complete Software Testing Life Cycle (STLC), collaborate with cross-functional teams, develop test strategies and automation solutions, and ensure high-quality software delivery for mission-critical government applications.

Position Summary The Senior Systems Testing / QA Specialist will lead and execute comprehensive testing activities across enterprise applications, ensuring software quality, stability, accessibility, and performance. The role involves defining testing strategies, preparing test plans, developing automation scripts, managing defects, validating business requirements, and supporting Agile project delivery. The ideal candidate will have strong experience with enterprise QA methodologies, Oracle Siebel CRM, automation frameworks, API testing, and modern defect management tools.

Key Responsibilities

- Test Strategy & Planning (25%)
- Develop comprehensive testing strategies, test plans, and testing schedules.
- Define testing scope, resources, environments, and execution plans.
- Identify testing risks and recommend mitigation strategies.
- Coordinate testing activities across multiple project teams.
- Ensure compliance with QA standards and best practices.
- Functional & System Testing (30%)
- Design and execute functional, integration, system, regression, and user acceptance testing.
- Validate business requirements against implemented functionality.
- Execute GUI and non-GUI testing.




- Perform end-to-end business process validation.
- Verify software behavior under various operating conditions.
- Test Automation & Defect Management (20%)
- Develop and maintain automated test scripts.
- Support GUI and API automation initiatives.
- Execute automated regression testing.
- Log, prioritize, track, and validate software defects.
- Work closely with developers to reproduce and resolve issues.
- Integrate automated testing into CI/CD pipelines.
- Performance, Data & Quality Validation (15%)
- Perform performance, stress, and load testing.
- Validate database integrity and data accuracy.
- Execute backend testing using SQL queries.
- Support data migration and transformation testing.
- Ensure application scalability and reliability.
- Collaboration & Documentation (10%)
- Participate in Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, stand-ups, reviews, and retrospectives.
- Collaborate with developers, business analysts, project managers, and business users.
- Prepare test documentation, execution reports, quality metrics, release notes, and user documentation.
- Ensure compliance with Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act (AODA) standards.

Required Skills & Experience Must Have

- 8+ years of Software QA / Testing experience.
- 5+ years testing Commercial Off-The-Shelf (COTS) applications.
- Experience with Oracle Siebel CRM applications.
- Experience using Jira and/or Azure DevOps.
- Strong understanding of Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
- Experience working in Agile and Waterfall environments.
