As a Senior Advisor Business Planning, you will play a key role in connecting Distribution Operations with Technology & Information Systems (TIS), helping shape and prioritize technology initiatives that advance operational performance and business objectives. What You Will

Do

Serve as the primary liaison between Distribution Operations and TIS, ensuring technology requests and system enhancement opportunities are clearly defined, assessed, and prioritized.

Lead and manage the intake process for new technology solutions and major system upgrades, supporting the development of annual business and asset plans.

Establish, maintain, and continually improve governance, intake, and assessment processes to ensure consistent evaluation and prioritization of initiatives.

Collaborate with operational leaders, support teams, and TIS partners to align technology roadmaps with business goals, operational requirements, and enterprise strategy.

Facilitate cross-functional planning discussions and prioritization forums to evaluate business value, risks, dependencies, and resource requirements.

Monitor approved initiatives through planning and launch phases, ensuring alignment with roadmap commitments and organizational priorities.

Build strong relationships across Distribution Operations, TIS, Asset Management, and enterprise functions to drive transparency, collaboration, and informed decision-making.

Who You Are

Related university degree and a minimum of five years of relevant experience, or seven years of field operations or work management experience,



or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Knowledge of technology planning, intake management, governance, and roadmap development processes.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to assess, structure, and prioritize competing business demands.

Demonstrated ability to translate operational challenges into well-defined business initiatives, including scope, value, risks, and dependencies.

Experience facilitating planning and prioritization discussions with managers, stakeholders, and senior leaders.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present recommendations clearly and effectively.

Proven ability to lead planning forums and coordinate stakeholders across multiple functions and regions.

Preferred

Knowledge of asset management frameworks, capital planning processes, and risk-based prioritization methodologies.

Experience developing or enhancing intake, demand management, or governance processes.

Solid stakeholder management and influencing skills without direct authority.

Ability to navigate complex organizational environments with competing priorities and resource constraints.

Experience serving as a trusted advisor to leadership on technology planning, sequencing, and investment decisions.

Demonstrated ability to challenge assumptions, evaluate trade-offs, and support sound business decisions.

Working Conditions

Primarily office-based work environment.

Normal physical, visual, and sensory effort required.

Collaboration with stakeholders across multiple regions, including Canada and the United States.

Occasional travel may be required based on business needs.

Salary: Ranges from $94,500 – $1115,000 CAD for Ontario locations based upon candidate’s experience, skills, and internal equity.
