Senior Investment Research Analyst

Location: Remote (United States & Canada)

Engagement Type: Hourly Contract

Compensation: $120/hour

About the Opportunity

This opportunity is for experienced Equity Research professionals interested in contributing to advanced AI research and evaluation projects. You will apply your expertise in company analysis, financial statement review, and SEC filing interpretation to help improve the reasoning, accuracy, and analytical capabilities of next-generation AI systems.

No prior AI experience is required. Your equity research expertise and financial analysis skills are the primary qualifications for success in this role.

Ideal Qualifications

- Bachelor's degree or higher in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business, or a related field.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in Equity Research at a leading investment bank, asset manager, hedge fund, or research firm.
- Strong experience analyzing public companies and extracting insights from SEC filings.
- Deep understanding of financial statements, valuation methodologies, and investment research processes.
- Excellent analytical, critical-thinking, and problem-solving skills.
- Solid written and verbal communication skills with attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently in a remote environment.

Responsibilities

- Analyze public company filings, earnings reports, and financial disclosures.




- Review and evaluate AI-generated financial analysis for accuracy and completeness.
- Apply equity research expertise to assess company performance, risks, and investment-related information.
- Extract and interpret information from SEC filings and other public disclosures.
- Provide structured feedback to improve AI-generated financial content.
- Create high-quality reference analyses and explanations to support AI training initiatives.
- Collaborate with project teams to ensure accuracy, consistency, and quality standards.

Preferred Qualifications

- Experience covering public equities across multiple sectors.
- Background in investment banking, asset management, hedge funds, or institutional research.
- Experience producing investment research reports and valuation analyses.
- Familiarity with AI evaluation, data annotation, or financial content review projects.
- CFA designation or progress toward CFA certification is a plus.

Project Details

- Minimum commitment of 10 hours per week.
- Initial engagement of at least 4 weeks.
- Fully remote and flexible schedule.
- Independent contractor engagement.
