The Swift Current Broncos Hockey are seeking an energetic, relationship-driven business professional to join our team as Senior Manager of Business Operations & Corporate Partnerships.

We’re looking for someone with a robust business background, proven relationship-building skills, and a passion for sports and live entertainment. While previous hockey industry experience is not required, a general understanding of the game and an interest in creating exceptional fan experiences are preferred.

Key Responsibilities

Corporate Partnerships & Business Development

- Develop, manage, and grow the organization’s corporate partnership portfolio while achieving annual revenue targets.
- Build strong, long-term relationships with corporate partners while identifying and pursuing new partnership opportunities.
- Develop customized partnership proposals that create value for both the Broncos and our corporate partners.
- Ensure all sponsorship agreements are executed according to negotiated contract terms, including:
- In-game signage and promotions
- Digital advertising
- Social media campaigns
- Broadcast assets
- Community activations
- Hospitality opportunities
- Coordinate league-wide sponsorship obligations with the Western Hockey League.
- Work collaboratively with Broncos staff to ensure all sponsorship activations are executed successfully.
- Continuously enhance the club’s sponsorship inventory by developing cutting-edge partnership opportunities that deliver measurable value for our corporate partners.
- Regularly meet with current and prospective partners, attend networking events, and represent the organization throughout the community.

Game Day Entertainment & Fan Experience

- Lead the planning, organization, and execution of the Swift Current Broncos game day presentation, ensuring every home game delivers an exceptional fan experience.
- Oversee the development and execution of all game day entertainment, including pre-game, in-game, and post-game activations.
- Direct the creation and coordination of all game day materials, including production scripts, run-of-show documents, promotional plans, timelines, and event logistics.
- Provide leadership and oversight to all individuals involved in game presentation, both directly and indirectly, including full-time staff, part-time Game Day staff, volunteers, mascot performers, public address announcers, anthem singers, in-stand hosts, on-ice promotion teams,



and other event personnel.
- Recruit, train, schedule, mentor, and support Game Day staff and volunteers while fostering a positive, professional, and customer-focused culture.
- Collaborate with Business Operations and Hockey Operations staff to continually enhance the game presentation through cutting-edge entertainment concepts, fan engagement initiatives, and corporate partnership activations.
- Coordinate with Business Operations and Hockey Operations staff to ensure all game day elements are delivered seamlessly.
- Support the planning and execution of lobby activations, giveaways, contests, auctions, community presentations, theme nights, and other special events.
- Continually evaluate and improve game day operations, identifying opportunities to enhance efficiency, elevate the fan experience, and maximize sponsor value.

Community Relations

- Support community initiatives, appearances, and special events that strengthen the Broncos’ connection with Southwest Saskatchewan.
- Develop creative community engagement opportunities that enhance the organization’s presence throughout the region.
- Represent the Swift Current Broncos professionally at community events, sponsor functions, and public appearances.

Business Operations

- Support the Executive Vice President of Business Operations with:
- Workflow planning
- Staff coordination
- Financial reporting
- Project management
- Organizational initiatives
- Work collaboratively across departments to develop new promotions, events, and fan engagement initiatives.
- Identify opportunities to streamline workflows, improve operational efficiency, and enhance organizational effectiveness.
- Leverage technology, automation, and Artificial Intelligence tools where appropriate to improve productivity and business processes.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives by identifying opportunities to simplify processes and improve the overall efficiency of the organization.
- Represent the Swift Current Broncos professionally in all interactions with fans, sponsors, volunteers, media, and community members.
- Uphold and promote the Vision, Mission, and Values of the organization in every aspect of the role.

Qualifications

- Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Commerce, Marketing, Sport Management, or another related business discipline.
- Experience in business development, account management, marketing, sponsorship, business operations, customer service, or a similar business leadership role is considered an asset.




- Corporate sales experience is an asset,but is not required.
- Comfortable building relationships through face-to-face meetings, networking, and regular interaction with corporate partners and community stakeholders.
- Strong communication, presentation, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Excellent organizational, time management, and project management abilities.
- Experience working collaboratively within a team environment.
- Safe Places Certification (or ability to obtain).
- Experience working in sports, entertainment, or a not-for-profit organization is considered an asset but is not required.

- General understanding of hockey and sports entertainment is preferred, but previous hockey industry experience is not required.

- Familiarity with Artificial Intelligence tools (such as Microsoft Copilot, ChatGPT, Claude, Canva AI, or similar technologies) and an interest in leveraging AI to improve productivity, automate repetitive tasks, and support business operations is considered an asset.
- Highly organized with exceptional attention to detail.
- Self-motivated with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate, mentor, and coordinate staff and volunteers.

- Must be willing to relocate to Swift Current, Saskatchewan, if not currently residing in the area.
