Shop & Delivery Assistant

Starting Wage: $16.5 0 - 18.00/hour

We’re looking for a reliable, organized, hands-on person to help keep our furniture shop running smoothly.

This is a varied position combining shop and warehouse organization, inventory management, furniture handling, pickups and deliveries, and general shop support. It’s a great fit for someone who likes staying busy, working independently, and taking ownership of keeping things organized and ready to go.

About the Job

Your responsibilities will include

- Cleaning and maintaining the shop, warehouse, and work areas
- Keeping storage areas organized and materials properly stocked
- Tracking shop supplies and inventory
- Ordering and restocking approved supplies as needed
- Receiving deliveries and checking incoming materials
- Preparing furniture and customer orders for pickup or delivery
- Wrapping, protecting, loading, and securing furniture
- Picking up and delivering furniture throughout Calgary and surrounding areas
- Assisting with loading and unloading furniture
- Completing basic pickup and delivery paperwork
- Keeping the delivery vehicle clean, organized, and ready for use
- Performing basic vehicle checks and reporting maintenance concerns
- Moving furniture between our shop, showroom, and storage areas
- Assisting with general shop tasks and errands as required
- Identifying organization, maintenance,



or inventory issues before they become problems
- Following safe lifting, handling, and workplace procedures

Who You Are We’re looking for someone who is:
- Reliable and punctual
- Organized and detail-oriented
- Comfortable working independently
- Able to manage routine responsibilities without constant direction
- Friendly and skilled when dealing with customers
- Comfortable working in a busy shop environment
- Willing to take initiative when something needs to be cleaned, organized, stocked, or dealt with
- Careful when handling furniture and customer belongings
- Physically capable of regularly lifting and moving furniture

Requirements
- Valid driver’s licence
- Clean driver’s abstract
- Comfortable driving a delivery vehicle
- Able to safely lift and move furniture with another team member
- Reliable transportation to work
- Strong organizational skills
- Good communication skills

Experience in warehousing, deliveries, moving, inventory, furniture, construction, or a shop environment is an asset, but not required. If you’re dependable, take pride in keeping things organized, and enjoy a job where every day is a little different, we’d love to hear from you.

Pay: $16.27-$18.00 per hour
