About Bristol Capital

Bristol Capital is an investor relations firm trusted by small and micro-cap public companies to sharpen their market narrative, reach the right investors, and build the credibility that moves valuations. Our practitioners run the campaigns, research, and communications that connect ambitious companies with the institutional investor community that backs them.

What sets this role apart from a typical dev internship is that the software you'd build isn't a side project. It's the proprietary platform the entire firm runs on. You'd ship tools your colleagues depend on daily, and see your impact the moment it lands.

What you'll work on

- Build and improve the internal platform that runs Bristol Capital's IR practice, the tools our team relies on to manage relationships, run client campaigns, and operate the business day to day.

• Work directly with the people who use the system, our IR practitioners, to understand how they actually work, and translate that into real software requirements. You'll help define what gets built, not just build what's handed to you.

- Increasingly, that means finding ways to apply AI to automate work that's traditionally been done by hand: investor research, qualification, communications, and more.
- Take full-stack ownership of features, with code review from another engineer.

What we're looking for

- Currently enrolled in a Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related program.
- Most important: you've built full-stack personal projects that incorporate AI. Show us what you've made.

The stack

- Languages: TypeScript/JavaScript, SQL
- Frontend: React
- Backend: Node.js/Express, RESTful APIs
- Database: PostgreSQL, Prisma
- Cloud: Azure
- Version control: Git and GitHub
- AI: Claude API (Anthropic) or comparable LLM APIs; building AI agents and tool-calling workflows

Bonus points

- You “vibe code,” meaning AI pair-programming tools like Claude Code, Cursor, or GitHub Copilot are already core to how you build.
- Exposure to agentic AI patterns: tool use, the Model Context Protocol (MCP), retrieval-augmented workflows.
- Familiarity with component libraries or design systems.
- Experience writing automated tests.

The details

- Term: 4-month term, with the option to extend to 8 months if it's a solid fit. Targeting a September start, or as soon as possible for the right candidate.
- Location: Hybrid, based out of our Richmond Hill, Ontario office, with remote days.
- Compensation: Competitive, based on experience.

How to apply

- Send your resume and links to a project or two you're proud of, whether GitHub, a live demo, or anything that shows how you build, to [email protected] .
