SQL Developer / Application Support Analyst

About the Opportunity

We are seeking a SQL Developer / Application Support Analyst to join a growing IT team supporting critical business applications across a dynamic manufacturing environment. This is a permanent, full-time opportunity for a technically strong professional who enjoys balancing database development with end-user support and application troubleshooting.

This role is ideal for someone who wants to move beyond pure development work and work directly with stakeholders, users, and business systems to deliver impactful solutions.

Location

- Onsite position in the Milton, Ontario area
- Candidates must be within a reasonable commuting distance
- Full time, permanent opportunity

Compensation
- $80,000 - $100,000 annually
- Comprehensive compensation package

Key Responsibilities
- Develop, maintain, and optimize SQL databases and queries
- Perform database administration and support activities
- Support internally developed and third-party business applications
- Troubleshoot application, database, and system issues
- Respond to user inquiries and provide technical assistance
- Analyze and resolve incidents through the organization's ticketing system
- Work closely with business users to identify and solve technical challenges
- Support web-based systems and integrations
- Collaborate with external software vendors when required
- Participate in an on-call rotation schedule

Required Qualifications
- 2+ years of experience in SQL development, database administration, or application support




- Strong SQL Server and T-SQL development skills
- Experience with C#
- Experience with JavaScript
- Understanding of database design, performance tuning, and troubleshooting
- Experience supporting business applications and end users
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- University degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or a related field

Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Power BI
- Exposure to manufacturing or industrial environments
- Experience working with third-party vendor applications
- Knowledge of helpdesk, ticketing, or IT support processes
