Role Description Engineers – Power Generation at Red Horizon Associates are responsible for designing, analyzing, and optimizing power generation systems for industrial and utility clients. In this full-time, on-site role located in Canada, team members collaborate with multidisciplinary stakeholders to develop technical solutions that meet performance, safety, and regulatory requirements.

Daily tasks include conducting feasibility studies, performing system modeling and calculations, preparing engineering documentation and reports, and supporting the specification,



selection, and integration of power generation equipment. The role involves site visits, data collection, and technical assessments to evaluate existing assets and recommend improvements for efficiency, reliability, and sustainability. Engineers also contribute to project planning, risk assessments, and client presentations, ensuring that solutions align with strategic objectives and industry best practices.

Qualifications

- Strong foundation in power generation engineering, including thermodynamics, electrical systems, and industrial heat processes.
- Experience preparing technical documentation, including specifications, calculations, and engineering reports.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills for working with cross-functional teams and clients.
- Ability to conduct on-site assessments, interpret field data, and translate findings into actionable engineering recommendations.
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Electrical, Mechanical, Chemical, Power, or Energy Engineering, or a closely related discipline.
- Eligibility for skilled engineering licensure (P.Eng. or equivalent) in Canada, or progress toward licensure.
- Demonstrated capacity to manage multiple projects, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines in a consulting environment.
- Commitment to safety, sustainability, and continuous improvement in engineering practice.
