Hiring Unit: Department of Biology (Professor Jon Sakata) Position Summary:

Assists in the collection of bioacoustic and behavioral data.

Assists with the analysis and visualization of data.

Assists with integrating current analysis pipelines into workflow.

Assists with lab work (including animal husbandry).

Assists with histological procedures, if necessary. Qualifications:

Attention to detail.

Team player.

Must be Work Study approved, McGill University.

Education/Experience

Expertise in coding in Matlab, Python or other computational languages as well as with neural networks, machine learning, Markov models and other computational approaches to biology are important.

Familiar with analysis and data visualization.

Enrolled in an undergraduate degree.

Location: This position is located in Montreal, Quebec and the work for this position is expected to be performed in Quebec.

Knowledge of French and English:



McGill University is an English-language university where day to day duties may require English communication both verbally and in writing. The level of English required for this position has been assessed at a level # (4) qualifier on a scale of 0-4.
