Talent Acquisition Specialist Position Summary Reporting to the Director of Talent Acquisition, the Talent Acquisition Specialist / Driver Recruiter plays a key role in supporting Canada Cartage’s growth by attracting and hiring top talent across the transportation and logistics sector. This role is responsible for full-cycle recruitment, with a robust focus on driver recruitment, while also supporting a variety of roles across the business. We are open to candidates earlier in their careers who are eager to learn, grow, and build expertise in a high-volume, fast-paced environment.

Location: 6767 Davand Drive, Mississauga (on-site 5 day/week)

Schedule: Monday to Friday (Day Shift)

Note: periodic travel is required off-site, a valid driver license and vehicle are required. What you will do

Manage full-cycle recruitment for drivers with exposure to Owner/Operators, and a variety of roles across the business, primarily within Ontario, with occasional support in other regions

Source, screen, and assess candidates to ensure alignment with role requirements and company standards

Partner closely with hiring managers and operations teams to understand hiring needs and priorities

Support recruitment marketing initiatives, including job postings, campaigns, and employer branding efforts

Build and maintain strong candidate pipelines for high-volume roles

Track and report on key recruitment metrics such as time-to-fill, quality of hire, and turnover

Contribute ideas to improve processes, candidate experience, and overall recruitment effectiveness What You’ll Bring

1–3 years of recruitment experience (or related experience in HR, staffing,



or high-volume hiring)

Transportation experience (recruiting company drivers and owner/operators) is an asset

Exposure to full-cycle or high-volume recruitment environments

Post-secondary education in Human Resources, Business, or a related field is an asset

Bilingual in French and English (spoken and written) is preferred Along with the following Skills & Competencies: Strong sourcing and candidate engagement skills

Ability to assess candidate qualifications and cultural fit

Comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-volume environment

Strong communication skills (written and verbal) in both French and English

Strong relationship-building skills with candidates and internal stakeholders

High level of organization, accountability, and sense of urgency

Adaptability and problem-solving mindset
