Experienced Server – Fine Dining | La Grotta On Main

La Grotta On Main is looking for an experienced and professional Server to join our restaurant team.

We are looking for a server with previous restaurant experience who takes pride in providing exceptional service and creating a memorable dining experience for every guest. The ideal candidate will have experience in fine dining, Italian cuisine, or an upscale restaurant workplace and understand the importance of professionalism, attention to detail, and quality service.

What You'll Do

- Provide attentive, professional, and friendly table service
- Welcome guests and create a warm and inviting dining experience
- Take food and beverage orders accurately and efficiently
- Have strong knowledge of menu items and confidently answer guest questions
- Make recommendations and suggest menu items, specials, and beverages
- Deliver food and beverages with proper timing and presentation
- Monitor tables throughout the dining experience and anticipate guest needs
- Process bills, payments, and cash transactions accurately
- Maintain clean, organized, and properly set tables
- Communicate effectively with the kitchen and front-of-house team
- Work closely with other servers, chefs, and restaurant staff to ensure smooth service
- Handle guest concerns professionally and work with management to resolve issues
- Follow all food safety, sanitation, and restaurant procedures
- Maintain a professional appearance and positive attitude throughout each shift

What We're Looking For

Required:

- Previous skilled serving experience
- Experience in fine dining, upscale dining, or a busy restaurant environment




- Excellent customer service and communication skills
- Strong attention to detail
- Professional, friendly, and confident personality
- Ability to provide attentive service while managing multiple tables
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure
- Strong teamwork and communication skills
- Reliable and punctual
- Comfortable working evening and weekend shifts

Preferred Qualifications

- Experience in Italian restaurants
- Knowledge of Italian food and wine
- Experience with wine and beverage service
- POS system experience
- Smart Serve certification
- Food Handler Certification
- Experience with upselling and menu recommendations
