Pay Rate: $18/hr Our client, a national charity which provides a wide range of services to people with disabilities, is seeking a Talent Coordinator to join their team for a short-term period. Reporting to the Senior Manager, Talent Acquisition this position will work with the Talent team providing assistance in the recruitment and selection activities such as screening and sourcing of candidates. The coordinator along with the Talent team is responsible for ensuring a good candidate experience, excellent customer service, communication, and organizational skills will ensure this is achieved.
Key Responsibilities:
Oversee the job posting process including coordination with multiple departments and external Job Boards including crafting job postings with inclusive language, reviewing postings for accuracy, establishing fair policies and networking with candidates from under-represented groups.
Screen, interview and recommend prospective employees for employment
Source candidates from various avenues such as: LinkedIn, Facebook, job boards including Indeed, networking, job fairs, employee referrals, etc.
Identify and establish relationships with schools, alumni groups, employment equity related service providers and other organizations to find and attract applicants of diverse backgrounds.
Conduct Reference checks that are non-biased, inclusive and accessible to help management select the right resources with the right skills, values and leadership attributes
Coordinate advertisement placement
Contribute to the overall talent strategy that provides equal opportunities to all candidates and ensures compliance to organizational policies and procedures and legislative guidelines.
Track recruitment analytics such as time to hire, number of applicants, source of hire and other relevant data.
Participate and assist in the coordination of recruitment events as required.
Assist with other duties as assigned.
Qualifications & Skills:
Degree or diploma in Human Resources or Business Administration.
At least two (2) years of recruiting experience with demonstrated ability to recruit remotely in multiple geographies along with varying levels of positions.
Must have Hands-on experience with the Dayforce Recruitment module, with the ability to work independently with minimal training. Demonstrated ability to work successfully in a quick-paced work environment.
Ability to communicate effectively both in writing and verbally with all levels is essential.
Ability to create and implement sourcing strategies for recruitment for a variety of roles.
Proactive and independent with the ability to take initiative.
Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
Familiarity with multi-provincial laws, regulations, and best practices applicable to hiring and recruitment.
Proficiency with or the ability to quickly learn applicant-tracking software or other recruitment systems.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite or related software. The indicated pay range is a good‑faith estimate based on required qualifications, experience, training, and other factors permitted by law. It reflects the pay band established by the client company. Actual offers may vary depending on skills, experience, geographic location, and expected work quality. Most candidates start in the lower half of the range.
