: Role Summary: The Technical Program Manager is the strategic and technical lead responsible for orchestrating the transition of Global Hotel Chain portfolio of 140+ luxury properties from legacy on-premise OPERA v5.6 PMS and ORS platforms to OPERA Cloud and OPERA Cloud Central (OCC). This role requires a highly autonomous, execution-focused leader who does not wait for established Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) or Methods of Procedure (MOPs). The selected candidate will be the primary author of these procedures, designing the exact migration blueprints and operational workflows required to independently resolve complex customer challenges.
Operating under a high-velocity, capacity-based delivery model, this leader serves as the primary liaison between the Customer Corporate Team, Oracle Consulting, and the ITCI technical execution teams. The ideal candidate brings an exceptional blend of enterprise hospitality technology delivery experience, deep hands-on expertise in the OPERA Cloud ecosystem, and a robust background in automated data migration and standardization pipelines. Key Responsibilities
1.
Strategic Program
Delivery & SOP/MOP Authorship
Act as the primary author and custodian of all (MOPs) and (SOPs) required for the global OPERA Cloud migration and data transition.
Work with complete independence to establish project baselines, resolve technical roadblocks, and ensure all property-level configurations align with Customer corporate requirements.
Direct the technical execution of SOW deliverables across all 140+ properties, ensuring that interim mapping, data cleansing, and template generation meet stringent project milestones.
Collaborate with Oracle Consulting to ensure all generated output templates conform perfectly to the structural import schemas required by the Oracle Migration Accelerator. 2.
Automated
Pipeline & Data Standardization Governance
Direct the programmatic extraction, translation, and validation of legacy property-level PMS configuration codes into centralized OCC "Golden Codes."
Govern the development and accuracy of the Phase 1 Automated Interim Mapping Tables (OXI vs. OCC), ensuring standard matching logic (Exact Match, Partial Match, and Retire rules) is applied programmatically.
Oversee the centralized Profile Cleansing & Normalization Engine to programmatically merge duplicate profiles, eliminate database redundancies, and export a clean B2B/Guest profile database from ORS.
Lead the mapping logic for the Centralized Rate Code Migration Phase, transitioning legacy local property rates into centralized OCC Chain-Level Rate Structures with localized property "rate subscription" rules. 3.
Opportunity
Identification & Scope Expansion
Proactively analyze the Customer OPERA ecosystem to find manual bottlenecks, configuration gaps, and operational friction points.
Develop optimization strategies and coordinate closely with the Offshore Delivery Manager (DM) to propose new automated solutions, securing additional work orders and expanding ITCI's service footprint.
Demonstrate to the customer how ITCI's custom automation tools can be adapted to support ongoing Business-As-Usual (BAU) operational standardization post-migration. 4.
Execution
Quality & Risk Mitigation
Establish strict validation and approval workflows to secure formal Customer Seasons corporate sign-off on the automated recommendation sheets before single-click exports.
Perform risk analysis on legacy database health (OPERA v5.6 schemas) to prevent database extraction failures, rate configuration bloat, or reservation delivery gaps.
Ensure zero booking loss during migrations by verifying that all future arrivals, future reservations, and routing instructions are translated accurately into Oracle Accelerator templates.
- Team Leadership & Resource Orchestration
Drive delivery velocity by managing the daily tasks, sprint boards, and code deployments of the offshore specialists.
Identify immediate skill gaps as delivery stages pivot (e.g., from complex SQL database extractions to functional UAT validation) and coordinate with the DM to dynamically onboard or replace specialists as work requirements shift.
Professional
Experience & Qualifications
SOP/MOP Authorship: Proven ability to design, document, and implement Methods of Procedure (MOPs) and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) from scratch in a complex system environment.
Autonomous Execution: Demonstrated track record of working with high independence, managing corporate customer expectations, and driving delivery schedules with minimal supervision.
Industry Experience: 15+ years of progressive leadership experience in hospitality information systems, enterprise PMS deployments, and large-scale IT program management.
OPERA PMS Expertise: 15+ years of deep, hands-on functional and technical experience across Oracle Hospitality OPERA v5.6 (PMS/ORS) and OPERA Cloud / OPERA Cloud Central (OCC). Must have led at least one major multi-property cloud migration.
Data Migration & Integration: Strong familiarity with relational databases (Oracle, SQL), data mapping schemas, and the Oracle Hospitality Integration Platform (OHIP).
Executive Communication: Exceptional verbal and written communication skills. Proven track record of translating complex technical database challenges into highly structured, actionable options for corporate directors and VP-level hotel stakeholders. Education
