Become a pivotal Educational Recreation Worker in Thunder Bay. As a part of the SSSP team, this role focuses on enhancing student participation in recreational activities while working closely with staff and administration.
You'll gather student feedback, promote a variety of after-school events, and ensure a vibrant environment that supports both social and personal development. Your contributions will directly impact the health and lifestyles of First Nations students. Key Responsibilities:
- Facilitate engaging after-hour recreational activities
- Maintain explicit communication with staff and administration
- Create and manage activity calendars for visibility
- Collect and integrate student ideas for future programming
- Ensure cleanliness of recreational areas before shifts end Requirements:
- High School Diploma (Grade 12) required
- Background in Recreation or related fields preferred
- Strong communication abilities and Microsoft Office skills
- Valid Class “G” Driver’s License required
- Awareness of community resources for youth Influence student health and engagement by bringing recreational programming to life, making a real difference in their educational journey.
