Western Diesel Services is looking for an experienced Truck & Trailer Mechanic to join our Hamilton shop.
We are looking for someone who knows trucks and trailers, can diagnose problems, get repairs done properly, and takes pride in their work.
What You'll Be Doing
- Truck and trailer repairs and maintenance
- Brake-related repairs
- Steering and suspension repairs
- Other safety-related repairs
- Air system and electrical repairs
- Clutch, transmission, differential and after-treatment repairs
- Preventive maintenance and servicing
- Diagnosing mechanical problems
- Completing work orders and repair documentation
- Assisting with commercial vehicle inspections where qualified
What We're Looking For
- 3+ years of truck and/or trailer repair experience
- Strong mechanical and diagnostic skills
- Experience with heavy-duty brakes, steering, suspension, electrical and air systems
- Reliable and able to work well with a team
- Comfortable communicating in English
- Valid driver's licence
310T licence is preferred, but experienced non-licensed mechanics are encouraged to apply. Experience with DriveON and annual safety inspections is an asset.
