We have an exciting opportunity for a Vice President, Finance to join a local, privately owned, growing company based in Edmonton, Alberta. Reporting to the President, the Vice President, Finance will be responsible for modernizing the accounting functions to drive the company’s metrics and performance to optimizing business processes. This role has a blend of strategic, out-of-the-box thinking while still being tactical to ensure bank reconciliation, monthly reporting and inventory controls are being performed in a timely manner.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Finance will have specific responsibilities for: Strategy, Vision, and Leadership: Advise company executives on financial planning, budgeting, cash flow, and investment priorities. Serve as the management liaison to the shareholders or executives, effectively communicating critical financial matters. Contribute to developing strategic goals and objectives, maintaining continuous communication between stakeholders. Represent the organization externally, particularly in banking. Property accounting for related companies and accounting for 2 holding companies. Other duties as assigned.
