Company Description
North Lake Partners, LLC (“NLP”) is a U.S.-based holding company led by experienced marketing, technology, and business leaders focused on building and scaling market-driven businesses in high-growth, high-commission verticals.
NLP currently operates through a holding company and two primary U.S. operating C-Corporations:
GetFeedz, Inc. operates MyReservations.com, a direct-to-consumer hotel booking platform with Merchant of Record capabilities, as well as private-label hotel booking solutions for third-party companies, membership organizations, loyalty programs, and other partners.
More Cashback Rewards, Inc. operates a nationwide cashback and rewards platform, including direct-to-consumer applications and an integration SDK that enables partners to provide cashback at participating restaurants, merchants, hotels, and other businesses.
The organization is entering a significant growth stage and is building the financial infrastructure, controls, reporting, and forecasting capabilities required to support increased transaction volume, new distribution partnerships, and multiple operating entities.
Role Description
North Lake Partners is seeking a hands-on Vice President of Finance to lead financial operations across NLP and its operating companies.
This role will be responsible for both the strategic and operational financial management of the organization. The VP Finance will work closely with the CEO, Board, operating company leadership, technology teams, external accountants, auditors, tax advisors, payment partners, and other stakeholders.
The successful candidate will be capable of building a scalable finance function while also being comfortable working directly in the financial details during the company’s current stage of growth.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Own the financial reporting process across NLP and its operating companies, including monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
- Manage multi-entity accounting, intercompany transactions, consolidations, and holding-company roll-up reporting.
- Lead budgeting, forecasting, cash-flow planning, scenario modeling, and long-range financial planning.
- Develop management reporting and financial dashboards that provide leadership and the Board with clear visibility into revenue, margins, expenses, cash requirements, and business performance.
- Build financial models that improve predictability of revenue,
profitability, working capital, and future cash requirements.
- Oversee and optimize the company’s use of Sage Intacct , including chart-of-accounts structure, entities, dimensions, reporting, consolidation, and financial controls.
- Establish and maintain strong accounting policies, internal controls, approval processes, and financial operating procedures.
- Oversee reconciliation of payment-processing activity, merchant settlements, supplier payments, commissions, cashback obligations, and other transaction-related financial flows.
- Support revenue recognition and accounting treatment across travel, merchant-of-record, affiliate, cashback, loyalty, and technology-related revenue streams.
- Manage accounts payable, accounts receivable, accruals, treasury, cash management, and working-capital forecasting.
- Coordinate with external accounting, tax, audit, compliance, and legal professionals.
- Support tax compliance and financial reporting requirements across multiple jurisdictions and business models.
- Prepare Board-level financial reporting, forecasts, analysis, and presentations.
- Evaluate unit economics, partner economics, pricing, margins, new business initiatives, and investment opportunities.
- Partner with product, technology, operations, sales, and marketing teams to understand the financial impact of business initiatives.
- Establish processes capable of supporting significant increases in transaction volume and business complexity.
- Support future financing, banking, underwriting, due diligence, audit, and investor requirements.
- Build and manage the finance team and external finance resources as the organization scales.
Qualifications
- Significant finance leadership experience, preferably in a high-growth, technology-enabled, transaction-driven business.
- Strong hands-on experience with Sage Intacct is highly preferred.
- Strong understanding of GAAP financial reporting, financial controls, accounting operations, and multi-entity consolidation.
- Demonstrated experience preparing and interpreting Balance Sheets, Income Statements, Cash Flow Statements, and consolidated financial reporting.
- Strong FP&A; capabilities, including budgeting, forecasting, scenario modeling, cash-flow planning, and long-range financial modeling.
- Experience developing Board and executive-level financial reporting.
- Strong analytical skills with demonstrated experience evaluating unit economics, contribution margins, customer acquisition economics, transaction economics, and profitability.
- Experience with payment processors, merchant settlement flows, marketplaces, e-commerce, travel, loyalty, cashback, affiliate marketing, or other high-volume transaction businesses is highly desirable.
- OTA, travel marketplace, or Merchant of Record experience is strongly preferred.
- Experience working within a multi-company or holding-company structure is strongly preferred.
- Ability to operate effectively in an entrepreneurial environment where processes and systems are still being built.
- Proven ability to work hands-on while simultaneously developing scalable processes and systems.
- Experience managing internal finance personnel and external accounting, tax, audit, or advisory firms.
- Robust written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to explain complex financial matters to executives, Board members, investors, and non-financial stakeholders.
- High degree of integrity, accountability, judgment, and attention to detail.
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related discipline.
- CPA, MBA, CFA, or equivalent professional designation is preferred but not required.
Ideal Candidate The ideal candidate is not simply an FP&A; executive or corporate finance strategist. We are looking for someone who can understand the business at the transaction level, build reliable financial infrastructure, and translate operating activity into accurate financial statements, forecasts, and actionable business intelligence. This individual should be equally comfortable reviewing a reconciliation, designing a financial control, building a cash-flow forecast, analyzing partner economics, working within Sage Intacct, and presenting financial performance to the Board.
Experience in travel, OTA, payments, marketplaces, loyalty, cashback, affiliate marketing, or other transaction-intensive businesses would be particularly valuable.
