VPM Functional Consultant / Business Analyst

About the Role

We are looking for an experienced VPM Functional Consultant / Business Analyst to join our Trading & Asset Services – Back Office practice. This is a client-facing functional consulting role focused on implementing investment accounting and performance measurement solutions for leading financial services organizations.

The ideal candidate will have strong domain expertise in investment accounting, hands-on experience with VPM or similar platforms, and the ability to lead functional workstreams from requirements gathering through successful production deployment.

Key Responsibilities

- Lead client engagements throughout the implementation lifecycle, from discovery and requirements gathering to solution design, testing, go-live, and post-production support.
- Drive functional workshops, analyze business requirements, and produce high-quality functional documentation including BRDs, FSDs, configuration documents, and process flows.
- Configure and implement VPM solutions covering valuation models, performance rules, static data, workflows, dashboards, reporting, and business processes.
- Collaborate closely with technical teams on data mapping, integrations, system configuration, and end-to-end solution delivery.




- Provide functional leadership during SIT, UAT, production cutover, issue resolution, and hypercare support.
- Contribute to pre-sales activities including solution design, effort estimation, Statement of Work (SoW) preparation, and client presentations.
- Partner with product and practice leadership to identify product enhancements and continuously improve implementation best practices.

Required Qualifications

- 6–10 years of experience as a Functional Consultant or Business Analyst in Investment Accounting or Capital Markets.
- Strong functional knowledge of investment valuation, performance measurement, General Ledger, Trial Balance, mutual fund processing, hedge fund processing, fund onboarding, and fund conversions.
- Hands-on implementation experience with VPM, Eagle STAR, or other investment accounting platforms .
- Experience leading client workshops, documenting business requirements, and delivering enterprise implementations.
- Robust analytical, communication, stakeholder management, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently in a client-facing consulting environment.

Preferred Qualifications

- Experience in Trading & Asset Services or Back Office Operations.
- Prior consulting experience with financial services clients.
- Experience working in Agile delivery environments.
