Contribute to youth development as a Youth Support Worker at PLEA Community Services in Surrey, BC. Engage with at-risk youth through tailored activities and guidance. This full-time, temporary role is focused on supporting youth with complex care needs, including mental health and behavioral challenges.
You will play a crucial part in their educational, recreational, and life skill development while ensuring a secure environment. Serving as a trusted support, you'll implement strategies to help youth navigate challenges and strengthen community ties. Key Responsibilities:
- Facilitate one-on-one activities for youth
- Provide close supervision and emotional support
- Develop and implement individualized support plans
- Teach life skills and promote community engagement
- Maintain accurate records and reports Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in social sciences or related field
- One year experience with high-risk youth
- Knowledge of youth care best practices
- Valid BC Driver's License needed
