Our Switch Person is responsible for day-to-day duties related to metals recycling and rail yard operations and need to complete work in a safe fashion while maintaining a clean work site.This position is based out of Edmonton, ABThe Team
This is an entry level position with growth opportunities.Work Environment
This is a full time Monday to Friday position working 7:00am to 4:00pm. Overtime and Saturdays as required.A Day in The Life
Ensure all SECURE safety policies and procedures are followedPartake in all safety related meetings including daily tail gates, last minute risk assessment,



etc.Execute rail traffic coordination and rail car movementsMust have an understanding of all power and small toolsConduct pre-operational checks on equipmentClean, lubricate and fuel all equipment and general site housekeepingEnsure safety fences / markings are all in placeNotify supervisor and or repair shop of any required work to be doneBasic comprehension and ability to follow SECURE’s Workplace Health and Safety requirements relevant to the assigned work site, including but not limited to SECURE’s “Stop & Think Process” and SECURE’s “Hazard Assessment Process”Ability to complete safety documentation in an accurate and timely mannerAbility to perform physical tasks, including lifting, shoveling, moving containers and other heavy materialsSkills, Experience & Qualifications
Experience operating Heavy Equipment, preferredExperience with metals is an assetExperience operating a loader and a zoom boom is requiredStrong work ethic and willingness to persevere through difficult weather conditions, challenging work site environments, and long demanding work daysAbility to manage weather and/or seasonal interruptions in work scheduleFit-for-Work each dayWhat's in it for you
