As a Parts Counterperson, you will be responsible for assisting customers and technicians in obtaining required parts and supplies while achieving monthly sales targets through encouraging additional parts sales.YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES
Promote sale of parts and accessories to all customers: walk-in, telephone or internal techniciansProvide exceptional customer service to maximum customer satisfactionKeep abreast of all new products and updates through continuous learningLocate all parts as requested by customers and/or techniciansPrepare parts invoices and credit notes for all counter sales and issues parts for all work ordersParticipate in regular inventory cycle counts and assist in maintaining stockAccurately document all shipping and receiving of partsMaintain files and update parts related information on a regular basisWHAT WE LOOK FOR




High school diploma or general education degree (GED)Post-secondary diploma or trade certification preferredPrior parts counter sales experience or parts/warehousing knowledge preferredAt least 4+ years of work experience in a parts counter roleAbility to communicate effectively both verbally and in writingGreat interpersonal skills with the demonstrated ability to work with othersAbility to self-manage time and set priorities while handling multiple responsibilitiesGood organizational skills with strong attention to detailStrong business ethics with a professional approach at all timesMust have valid Driver’s LicenseForklift Certification or ability to attain certificationInland Truck & Equipment is an industry leader in the heavy-duty truck and equipment sales, service, and parts marketplace.
