As a
Production Chef,
you will be responsible for directing, coordinating, and evaluating assigned kitchen, food production and food-service associates.Take responsibility for daily operations, such as preparation, cooking, presentation and services periodsBe responsible for occasional catering eventsEnsure all health and safety policies are followedPerform administrative duties that include completion of weekly purchase summaries, scheduling associates for events, inventoryDirect and supervise all aspects of food production and servicesCoordinate and prepare a large volume of meals daily following several different menus and conceptsEnsure appropriate portions and presentationPlan production, delegate tasks and manage kitchen staffControl and recycle surplus productionAssist with assessment of food requirements according to the menu and inventory, ordering the necessary commodities according to operational standardsComplete production sheets and/or registerControl the quality of commodities as soon as they arrive and rotate the stockPlace ordersAdhere to the budgetEnsure compliance with hygiene, sanitation and safety standardsAssist with service provision as neededQualifications:3 years of foodservice or related management experience in high volume, food production environmentPost-secondary education in culinary or related studiesRed Seal Certificate and experience working in Quick Service Restaurants (QSR) preferredFood Safe CertificationAdvanced Food Safe or Red Seal certification is an assetCreative ability to apply trendy food items and presentations to operationsAble to work in a fast-paced setting, paying attention to accuracy and detailExcellent interpersonal, communication,
and organizational skillsExcellent leadership and organizational skillsSolid knowledge of hygiene and occupational health and safety standardsCustomer service oriented and strong communication skillsCapable of performing administrative dutiesKnowledge of Microsoft Excel and WordWillingness to accommodate a flexible work schedule (including weekends)Position Requirements:Valid full driver's license with a clean recordPass a Drug & Alcohol TestPass a Criminal Record CheckShift: 10hr/DayRotation: 20 Days on/ 10 Days offThe hourly wage for this position is $26.00. Final compensation will be determined based on relevant skills, experience, qualifications, and internal equity.
