The Personal Support Worker (PSW) will provide personal care to assist clients in their daily activities and personal hygiene. The PSW will support the clients' physical, social and emotional needs in a safe manner, in accordance with the organization's resident-centred approach, complying with relevant government standards, residents' rights and the organizations mission and philosophy.Qualifications
Graduate of an approved Personal Support Worker course in Ontario, or equivalentExperience in long term care setting an assetCurrent CPR CertificateRegistration with Health and Supportive Care Providers Oversight Authority (HSCPOA) preferred.Resident-centred care focus with solid customer service and interpersonal skillsDemonstrated ability to take initiative, problem-solve and time manageAbility to work independently as well as be an active, positive team playerBehavioural management training (Gentle Persuasive Approach (GPA), U-First, CPI) an assetComputer literacy (Point Click Care, MS Office).Basic knowledge of Workday an asset.Ability to speak and converse in Chinese an assetWorking Conditions
Considerable standing, walking, lifting and bendingExposure to all resident care elements through regular resident contact.Ability to work evening shifts, including weekends and short shifts.May be required to work an alternate shift(s) to meet operational needs (e.G., emergency, training, accommodation, etc.) as per scheduling practicesThis is a temporary part time position for 11 monthsSalary Range: $25.41 - $27.62Please apply before: 2026-08-07Benefits
