Plan, organize, and assign tasks toplant employees to ensure optimal production while minimizing overtime.Coordinate work schedules and evaluate equipment and personnel capacity based on purchase orders.Track production, monitor operational progress, identify issues, and collaborate with planners to resolve them.Ensure quality control, maximize material utilization (specifically rebar cuts), and implement necessary adjustments to limit errors and scrap.Oversee logistics activities, including load compliance, delivery deadlines, and inventory management.Promote continuous improvement by recommending measures to increase efficiency, quality,
and working conditions.Maintain a healthy and safe work environment by enforcing company policies and actively participating in the Health and Safety Committee.Ensure rigorous follow-up on workplace incidents/accidents and produce investigation reports in collaboration with relevant departments.Manage personnel under their supervision (training, evaluations, discipline, and seasonal layoffs).Effectively manage the continuous improvement program.Perform any other tasks requested by their immediate supervisor.Qualifications:
Minimum of 3 to 5 years of experience in managing unionized manufacturing personnel.College diploma or Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field.Availability to work on the day and evening shift.Experience in the steel, metal, or a related industry.Knowledge of rebar cutting and bending processes (an asset).Excellent communication skills and the ability to lead a team.Autonomy, initiative, and a proactive approach.What we offer :Full insurance coverage (health, dental, and vision) from day one;
