As a core member of our Private Assets team, you will be working with some of the industry's most accomplished professionals to deliver award‐winning services for complex fund structures that our clients can depend upon.ResponsibilitiesLead and manage a team of managers and staff, providing guidance and supportExecute strategic plans to archive business objectivesOversee resource allocation and workflow to meet client SLAsEnsure efficient and effective daily operationsOversee periodical Net Asset Value calculations for the Private Equity Funds, including Financial Statement preparation, trial balance review and Partner/Shareholder Allocation calculations.Review the calculation of fund specific expenses, including admin fees, management fees, carried interest and other applicable feesReview accounting work, capital events, other client deliverables,
investor statements and reporting prepared by staffEnsure documentation is compliant with internal and external/regulatory standardsReview private equity funds' partnership agreements, PPMs and other materialsEnsure compliance with internal policies/procedures/best practices, external standards, and regulatory requirementsMaintain high standards of quality and accuracy in all aspects of operationsLiaise with Investor Relations, Waterfall, Tax, Financial Reporting and other Citco groups/teams globallyAct as a liaison with Clients on matters relating to Fund Accounting services, maintain overall client relationshipsEnsure timely and accurate responses to client queriesAct as a liaison with external partiesCoordinate, manage and monitor external audit processesProvide technical accounting/industry knowledge to clientsCollaborate with Client Integration team (including new client onboarding and conversions)Collaborate with Relationship Managers to develop client service level agreementsReview operations processes for the Company's Private Equity divisionParticipate in the recruitment and hiring processOnboard new employees and ensure they are fully integrated into the teamConduct regular meetings to communicate objectives, updates and expectationsEvaluate team performance, providing timely feedback and conducting performance reviewsIdentify training needs, organize professional development plans for the team and coach them to successAct as a liaison between the team and senior managementFacilitate effective communication within the department and other departments/groupsForster a culture of continuous improvement and learning within the departmentParticipate in technology automation, procedure development,
and other special projects/initiativesImplementation of efficiency initiatives in a timely mannerGenerate ad hoc reports as requiredQualificationsYou have a University degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics or professional accounting designation (CFA, CGA, CMA, CA, CPA).You have 8+ years public/Private Equity accounting experience.Proven experience in leadership role, preferably as a Vice President or equivalentSkilled in negotiation, business planning, margin analysis, rating agency relations and technical accountingStrong knowledge of waterfall structures, modelling and calculationsHighly successful record of delivering large scale business/technology reengineering initiatives in the private equity, hedge funds and fund of funds businessesKnowledge of US Generally Accepted Accounting Principles and other comprehensive basis of accountingExperience in reviewing and preparing general ledgers and financial statementsAbility to lead and motivate a teamProject management skills with attention to detail and proven ability to multi‐taskExcellent interpersonal abilitiesStrong written and verbal communication skillsProficient in Microsoft Office (Especially Excel and Word), experienced user of the FIS Investran PE accounting platform highly desirableSalary RangeSalary Range: CAD $130,000-$165,000.This position is not for an existing vacancy; we are building a candidate pool for future opportunities.BenefitsYour well‐being is of paramount importance to us, and central to our success.
