As part of the Child, Youth & Emerging Adult Program (CYEAP), Child, Youth and Family Services (CYFS) provides care and treatment to children and youth between ages 6 and 24. Salary Range $39.07 - $56.00 Position Full-time temporary (12 months) Registered Nurse to work within the newly created Youth-RAAM clinic (Rapid Access to Addictions Medicine) and across outpatient teams serving children and youth and their families. Responsibilities Report to the Senior Manager and work as a member of an interprofessional team. Perform assessments and provide case management, individual, group, and family treatment, including outpatient supportive counseling. Conduct client-centered mental health, addictions and general nursing assessment and treatment for youth age 13-21. Contribute to multi-disciplinary treatment plans and liaise with other services, community agencies, and practitioners. Provide behavioural observations, mental status and physical assessments, monitor patient response to interventions, documentation and ongoing communication with team members. Perform crisis intervention, addiction nursing, concurrent disorders, recovery-oriented care, and trauma-informed care. Participate in clinical supervision and provide education support and supervision to students.



Support research activities of the program and engage in research training as required. Work flexible hours, including some evening and/or weekend hours. Provide high-quality care within the Queen Street Site location. Qualifications Registered in good standing with the College of Nurses of Ontario. Current B.C.L.S. (CPR) certificate. Bachelor degree in nursing (BScN). Preference for RNs with Canadian Nurses Association certification in Psychiatric/Mental Health Nursing. Specialized clinical experience working with complex and challenging youth and their families. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; ability to develop therapeutic nurse‑patient relationships. Ability to work collaboratively in a diverse inter-skilled team. Formal training and knowledge in evidence‑based treatment models (cognitive-behavioural therapy, interpersonal therapy) is an asset. Strong skills in individual and family counselling, psychoeducation, clinical assessment, case management, and treatment. Experience in co-facilitation of group programming for children, youth and parents. Ability to provide culturally competent service to diverse ethno-racial and cultural backgrounds. Experience completing comprehensive clinical child and family mental health assessments in an interdisciplinary team. Excellent organizational, interpersonal and written communication skills. Experience developing and delivering training workshops and contributing to capacity building initiatives. Computer skills, including word processing, electronic communication and workload measures. Bilingualism (French/English) or proficiency in a second language is an asset.
