planning, environmental assessment, budgeting, public consultation, contract preparation, design and construction administration, and warranty completion for both in house and externally designed projects. The Senior Project Manager is also responsible for providing guidance and coaching to other technical, project and inspection staff within the division.What You'll be Doing:(These set out the principal functions of the position and shall not be considered as a detailed description of all the work requirements).Plan and prepare engineering studies which may include preparation and administration of Request for Proposals, Requests for Quotes or terms of reference and compliance with the Class Environmental Assessment process.Conduct detailed design or technical review, planning, scheduling and control of linear infrastructure projects which includes the engagement and oversight of external consultants and internal staff.Coordinate utility relocations and property requirements.Obtain approvals from governing bodies (such as the NPCA, MECP, MTO, and MNR).Contract/tender preparation and ensuring that all City construction tenders are in accordance with contract law, provincial legislation and best engineering practices.Remain current with respect to updates and/or accepted changes to contract law, provincial legislation and best engineering practices.Administer construction contracts, manage and evaluate Contractors, manage disputes and stakeholder expectations, and manage and track Contractor
