Salary Range: $50,000.00 To $65,000.00 Annually

McCuaig & Associates Engineering Ltd. is currently seeking a Jr. Technologist/EIT to join our Asset Management Department at our Burnaby, BC office. The ideal candidate will have at least 1-2 years of technical building science and project management experience and has a keen interest in the field of asset management.

Key Responsibilities:

- Assist Project Engineers and Project Managers in the following Asset Management projec ts :
- C ondition A ssessments
- Capital and Maintenance Planning
- Depreciation R eports / Reserve Fund Studies
- Feasibility Studies

- Perform s ite reviews / field investigation
- Review of d rawings, specifications and other relevant technical and financial document
- Perform q uantity takeoffs / estimating
- Develop budgets and cash flows
- Research building materials and maintain and update internal templates, database and library
- Liais e with clients, contractors, suppliers, and other specialty consultants as necessary
- Attend client meetings

Skills and Qualifications:

- R egistered or eligible to register as an AScT with ASTTBC or E IT/P.Eng. with EGBC
- Strong technical writing skills and verbal communication skills, including presentation skills
- Excellent a ttention to detail and strong work ethic
- Technically proficient in Bluebeam Revu, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word, and Autodesk Revit/CAD an asset




- A bility to prioritize and handle multiple tasks and adapt to shifting priorities
- Effective project management skills and experience
- Relevant building science and construction industry related experience
- Working knowledge of building codes, ASHRAE 90.1, NEBC, and relevant standards
- Ability to travel
- Ability to work at heights
- Valid Driver’s License
